Wowza this author really knows how to pack a punch in a beautiful novel. This book is set at a time when the majority of animals in the world, especially birds are becoming extinct. The main character has made it her goal to follow the Arctic Tern from Alaska to Antarctic, the longest migration of any bird in the world. Paralleling her quest to follow the Terns the story takes you back through her history and why she has ended up on this amazing journey. The book will take some wild turns that you will not expect so hold on an enjoy the ride. I’ve made a few bird mugs in the last year on custom request and for a market so I think I’ll pair this book with a bird mug and a classic cup of joe.
