You may have noticed the human in the main photo was not me but my good friend Catherine Widner. She is an avid reader too and also loved this book. She’s also a lover of sharing her beers so I’ve paired the book This Is How It Always Is with my new Wine Tumbler shape that’s perfect for sharing bevvies. Laurie Frankel portrays an incredible story in her book about the impacts of their 5 year old letting them know they are transgendered. She paints an incredible story about how everyone in the family reacts and the different levels of protection each family member takes to care for one of their own that does not fit into our societal norms. It’s heart wrenching and incredibly hard to put down.
