Alright my friend I will not lie I DEVOURED this book, which happens when I pick up a genre of book that I did not know I was craving. This is a story of a young witch who has for years denied her powers and has become a literary scholar. While deep in her studies at Oxford she discovers a lost manuscript in the Bodleian Library. I am a sucker for fantasy and libraries so I was enthralled with the first half of the book. Our main character, Diana, does start to get a little grating as she continues to deny what is obviously going to be some ass kicking powers but if you need a good beach read with witches and vampires this book should fit the bill. Perhaps pair it with a pina colada in a bright pink wine tumbler to really get into the beach vibes.
