I snagged this book from my local book store The Kings English and it’s been on my shelf for several months. I picked it up at a great time, the busy holiday season. This is a great world to disappear into. A young girl’s family is killed and she escapes into the city from the outskirts where she has lived her whole life. Little does she know she is looked down upon by folks in the city but this spunky kid doesn’t care and gets herself a position training to be a librarian. The library is MASSIVE and the spunky heroine spends her days breaking rules and learning as much as she can. If you’re looking for a fun fantasy fiction with unexpected twists and turns to disappear into I highly recommend this soon to be trilogy. I paired this book with a Banned Books Mug topped off with a lovely cup of light roast coffee.
